A technical visit built around real application questions
When a customer visits a manufacturer, the most useful conversations often begin with the application.
During a recent visit from Singapore, the customer reviewed ACSOON's partial-discharge-free power supply and gave positive feedback. The meeting also included a discussion of filtering requirements and technical questions related to high-voltage testing.
The exchange reflected an important principle in test-power selection: the converter, filter, test object, and measurement equipment need to be considered as parts of one system.
The ACSOON WJF60W series is an AC power supply and static frequency converter designed for applications such as transformer induced-voltage tests, transformer partial discharge tests, cable withstand tests, and insulation research.
The series can be configured for single-phase or three-phase output. Its specified adjustable frequency range is 45–400Hz or customized, with output voltage adjustable according to the selected configuration. The product datasheet lists THD <3% at linear loads and partial discharge ≤10pC.
These values provide a starting point for engineering review. The appropriate model depends on the required capacity, test voltage, load, test procedure, and installation conditions.
The customer's questions included filtering. In high-voltage test systems, filtering requirements should be assessed in relation to the source, circuit arrangement, test object, and measurement method. A general product description cannot replace that project-specific review.
For this reason, ACSOON encourages customers to provide key application details early in the selection process:
With this information, the engineering team can review the proposed configuration and identify the points that need confirmation before quotation or project design.
The Singapore visit was a constructive technical exchange. We appreciated the customer’s feedback on the WJF60W power supply and the opportunity to discuss filtering considerations for the intended application.
We look forward to continuing the conversation as the project requirements develop.
